【摘要】:Studiesofindoorairproblemsareofteniterativeinnature.Athoroughengineeringevaluationofabuilding(1-4)3issometimessufficienttoidentifylikelycausesofindoorairproblems.Whentheseinvestigationsandsubsequentremedialmeasuresarenotsufficienttosolveaproblem,moreintensiveinvestigationsmaybenecessary.Thisguideprovidesthebasisfordeterminingwhenprobabilitysamplingmethodsareneededtoachievestatisticallydefensibleinferencesregardingthegoalsofastudyofindoorairquality.Theneedforprobabilitysamplingmethodsinastudyofindoorairqualitydependsonthespecificobjectivesofthestudy.Suchmethodsmaybeneededtoselectasampleofpeopletobeaskedquestions,examinedmedically,ormonitoredforpersonalexposures.Theymayalsobeneededtoselectasampleoflocationsinspaceandtimetobemonitoredforenvironmentalcontaminants.Thisguideidentifiesseveralpotentialobstaclestoproperimplementationofprobabilitysamplingmethodsinstudiesofindoorairqualityinbuildingsandpresentsproceduresthatovercomethoseobstaclesoratleastminimizetheirimpact.Althoughthisguidespecificallyaddressessamplingpeopleorlocationsacrosstimewithinabuilding,italsoprovidesimportantguidanceforstudyingpopulationsofbuildings.Theguidanceinthisdocumentisfullyapplicabletosamplinglocationstodetermineenvironmentalqualityorsamplingpeopletodetermineenvironmentaleffectswithineachbuildinginthesampleselectedfromalargerpopulationofbuildings.1.1Thisguidecoverscriteriafordeterminingwhenprobabilitysamplingmethodsshouldbeusedtoselectlocationsforplacementofenvironmentalmonitoringequipmentinabuildingortoselectasampleofbuildingoccupantsforquestionnaireadministrationforastudyofindoorairquality.Someofthebasicprobabilitysamplingmethodsthatareapplicableforthesetypesofstudiesareintroduced.1.2Probabilitysamplingreferstostatisticalsamplingmethodsthatselectunitsforobservationwithknownprobabilities(includingprobabilitiesequaltooneforacensus)sothatstatisticallydefensibleinferencesaresupportedfromthesampletotheentirepopulationofunitsthathadapositiveprobabilityofbeingselectedintothesample.1.3Thisguidedescribesthosesituationsinwhichprobabilitysamplingmethodsareneededforascientificstudyoftheindoorairqualityinabuilding.Forthosesituationsforwhichprobabilitysamplingmethodsarerecommended,guidanceisprovidedonhowtoimplementprobabilitysamplingmethods,includingobstaclesthatmayarise.Examplesoftheirapplicationareprovidedforselectedsituations.Becausesomeindoorairqualityinvestigationsmayrequireapplicationofcomplex,multistage,surveysamplingproceduresandbecausethisstandardisaguideratherthanapractice,thereferencesinAppendixX1arerecommendedforguidanceonappropriateprobabilitysamplingmethods,ratherthanincludingexpositionsofsuchmethodsinthisguide.
